Thanks to your donations and the funds collected by the APE ‘commission écologie’, we were able to begin work to beautify and revegetate the school to reduce CO2 and re-introduce biodiversity within our Lycée Jean Giono.
We started on October 3, in the kindergarten courtyard and in two small spaces within the establishment.
On this occasion, kindergarten, CP and CE1 students put their hands in the ground for the first plantations. With the help of Saskia Pellione, from vivaio Anna Peyron, they discovered the universe of the soil, the importance of earthworms and the usefulness of taking care of plants by watering the soil and “giving it food” with organic waste.
The ‘Let’s Go Greener’ project will take place throughout the year with plantings, construction work, speakers and training for teaching staff.
